A SolidWorks macro is a shortcut to a task you perform repeatedly in SoldiWorks 3D CAD software. It is a series of commands and actions that can be stored and run within SolidWorks whenever you need to perform the task. This week’s webinar looks at using the SolidWorks API to solve a common support call. If one component is accidentally positioned a long way away from the rest of the components, when you “fit to screen” all the components seem to disappear.
Here you will be guided through the development of the code to the finished version where the user is presented with a choice to “Fix” the problem.
This webinar is designed for those users with some API experience, or those who have watched this years “Macro Part 1” webinar.
It is applicable to users with either SolidWorks Standard, Pro or Premium.
Topics covered:-
- Reusing and finding code in the SolidWorks API help
- Recording Macros
- Assembly Tree Traversal
- Using the Immediate Windows to debug
